Proeven en Geloven

I couldn't resist... I will even write this one in english... As I wrote in my last post  I just finished reading the book Something Other Than God by Jennifer Fulwiler. It's full of good things, and so is her blog conversion diary . Except for one small thing. Epic picture Cilantro, or koriander in dutch, is a very interesting herb. I never ate it untill age thirty. Same age as my baptism. Not that the two are related. Tonight we had vegetarian black bean 'hamburgers' for dinner, with rice, tomato and koriander . We call the whole plant koriander, the leaves and the seeds, unlike Americans. I just had to take this picture, which of course is not going to win because I am sure Jennifer Fulwiler will never wear a t-shirt with this picture with cilantro on it. The green thingies in the rice... mmmmm. I know what you're thinking. Somethin Other Than Cilantro please...

Yep! De plof op de deurmat is inderdaad... het boek van mijn zeer geliefde blogster Jennifer Fulwiler, Something Other Than God! Ik probeer op de foto's mijn blijdschap tot uitdrukking te brengen. Sorry voor de overbelichting... Voor het eerst van mijn leven heb ik een boek besteld voordat het uit was en ik had het eerder dan de meeste mensen in Amerika! Gewoon via bol.com , al hebben ze het daar nu niet meer... of het was uitverkocht, of ze hadden maar één exemplaar! En dat heb ik dus. Maar je kunt het ook kopen via amazon.com . Die recepten moeten maar even wachten... Verdiept in een boek... dat is lang geleden. Al kende ik het verhaal van Jennifer Fulwiler in grote lijnen via haar blog conversiondiary.com, miljoenen details heeft zij bewaard voor haar boek. Aaaaah... Bud-monster! Hij wil gewoon een beetje aandacht, op een erg grappige manier.  En de lieve Stud-man die een kopje koffie komt brengen... ...
