This is what I wore today to church...
And this is what I really looked like
leaving the house...

This morning when I looked outside, the world was all white, again! Since I couldn't take the car, I had to ride my bicycle. It wasn't slippery though, fresh snow isn't slippery and the roads were clean. It was quiet in church though, but good. The sermon today was about visions, of course. About having visions, and about having a vision. Whenever you want to build a boat with a group of people, don't start dividing tasks right away. Start telling about the sea that separated, and the people walking through. People need to have a vision to stay motivated.

Also, visions need to be grounded in reality. It is not just about seeing beautiful visions, it is about taking them back to reality. At mount Tabor the disciples learned it is not just about shining light. When the cloud came they had to let that vision go and to back to reality, to the events that would take place in the good week.

That's what stayed with me from today's sermon.

  1. This is very uplifting. The vision keeps us motivated: what truth there is in that.

You look very pretty in your pink top and patterned skirt, and very cute all bundled up!

Thank you for sharing, and enjoy your week!

  2. Yes, I always look a certain way before I leave the house, and then completely different once I'm outside ;-)
