This post is in english, on a dutch blog. It is fun to link up with fellow bloggers in the whole world! But when it comes to catholicism, a dutchman (or woman) needs his (or her) own voice . Pink shirt: H&M, 15 euro Red pants: Action, 10 euro Shoes: ?, 30 euro Belt: 5 euro (for three, I think) After church there was the 'Vastenaktie', to raise money for a school in Malawi. We sold the purple pair of babysocks for two euro's. A couple of ladies have been doing a lot of knitting! A lot of notebooks and envelopes were sold as well. There was a lottery, there was soup, coffee, cake and wine for sale. Then we went to Granny's house to put together a few cabinets from Ikea. What you see in the picture is a pile of drawers, that go into about eight different cabinets. I forgot to take a picure of the final result - so tired... I was thinking, since I am a christian, can I book this as a sunday afternoon family gathering? Because that is what it...

Ik mis de link-up What I Wore Sunday (WIWS) op finelinenandpurple.

Kamperen in de Ardennen {WIWS}

Except for the missing part of my head (only containing brains) I love this picture (so you don't need to tell me anymore - but you may;-). The position of my right foot, creates a refined look (I have seen Stacy London do that in 'What not to wear'). In reality I don't look that good, I think, not for long anyway. The hair got mixed up by the wind and by the time I arrived at church I was a little sweaty. It was HOT and I still had snowy weather in mind, here and here . I bought the white jacket because my husband liked it, for 30 or 40 euro. I thought it would be too stiff and informal, but I guess it's ok. The pink shirt I bought in Turkey, years ago, for 5 euro. The dress is from the Silk Store (it isn't silk though) in my home town, 30 euro. The tights, no idea... The boots, some cheap shoe-shop. I mistook them for leather. But because they aren't they survive every kind of weather. As soon as I got home I swopped to jeans for a walk in th...

I am wearing a grey longsleeved shirt (Zara, € 5), a small grey vest with a pin, a silk dress (Silk Shop, € 30), black tights and pink suede shoes (OTTO by mail € 20). The pink scarf was a present, its is made from a very soft material. The angle of this picture is different then usual, that is because my husband took it instead of me using the self-timer. And, just in case you've seen enough of me, you can see half of what is going on in my living room... The stuff we took home from church was worth making another picture (was it not that half is in the dishwasher). We gave BUD money to buy two lottery tickets for the lenten bazar in church. He got one free, and a friend bought him another ticket. We have: two flowered tea-cups (I like them a lot), four off-white small coffee-cups (match my plates), two square plates and an easter-flower-decoration. Our friend had a glass vase with branches in it, that made him visibly happy. Oh and half a loaf of bread with raisins. Yep i...

Link-up hosted at finelinenandpurple.com . This is what I wore today to church...  And this is what I really looked like leaving the house... This morning when I looked outside, the world was all white, again! Since I couldn't take the car, I had to ride my bicycle. It wasn't slippery though, fresh snow isn't slippery and the roads were clean. It was quiet in church though, but good. The sermon today was about visions, of course. About having visions, and about having a vision. Whenever you want to build a boat with a group of people, don't start dividing tasks right away. Start telling about the sea that separated, and the people walking through. People need to have a vision to stay motivated. Also, visions need to be grounded in reality. It is not just about seeing beautiful visions, it is about taking them back to reality. At mount Tabor the disciples learned it is not just about shining light. When the cloud came they had to let that vision ...

The picture turned out a bit dark - probably because of the backlight. This is my first sunday-outfit-picture for What I wore sunday . I know, it is not just about the looks, that is why I have other posts in my BLOG! This morning I turned to my closet to find some clothes and I saw my black vest in the wrong place. I took it out and noticed I had already put together an outfit, inspired by this blog . My new red trousers, one of my favorite vests, a white shirt and snow-proof-boots. Actually not waterproof, I found out. It made me happy. My outfit was almost ruined, because Holland looks like this: After mass, it was raining, BUD jumped in the messy snow, splashing around. I screamed 'no!'. I somehow managed to keep dry clothes.
