This post is in english, on a dutch blog. It is fun to link up with fellow bloggers in the whole world! But when it comes to catholicism, a dutchman (or woman) needs his (or her) own voice.
Pink shirt: H&M, 15 euro
After church there was the 'Vastenaktie', to raise money for a school in Malawi. We sold the purple pair of babysocks for two euro's. A couple of ladies have been doing a lot of knitting! A lot of notebooks and envelopes were sold as well. There was a lottery, there was soup, coffee, cake and wine for sale.
Then we went to Granny's house to put together a few cabinets from Ikea. What you see in the picture is a pile of drawers, that go into about eight different cabinets. I forgot to take a picure of the final result - so tired... I was thinking, since I am a christian, can I book this as a sunday afternoon family gathering? Because that is what it was, also.
Last week I read this post at A holy experience by Ann Voskamp, a fabulous blogpost about the dutch culture. Reading it gave me goosebumps all over. The way she explaines the hospitality in our culture that causes many different kinds of households, is building bridges! Fantastic pictures as well.
One thing though - we never eat that much meat on our sandwiches!
